After a while, a pattern emerged - in addition to flowers, I always seemed to be taking pictures of old buildings (not all of which were falling down). I started driving home on the weekends to take the back roads, and visiting the industrial districts of Columbia (where I went to school at the University of South Carolina). Even my journalistic endeavors began to focus on historic preservation.
I also find myself really loving to take pictures of old, sometimes dilapidated buildings. And nature! ;) I've jumped all the way to the first post you made and I'm heading forward chronologically. I'm enjoying the photos and the prose! :)
I try to find beauty in the everyday, primarily through my photography, which I share here. I also try to keep my brain thinking creatively every day, even if the rest of me is not in the mood, so the posts here are as much for me as they are for you.
I hold the copyright to all images on this page, unless otherwise noted. If you'd like to reproduce them on your blog, feel free, but please credit me and, of course, link back to me. Thanks!
