Wyoming Wind

After the loveliest of spring weather, Wyoming is showing her true colors with freakishly high winds and snow showers.  But, as they say around here, if you don't like the weather, just wait 30 minutes.  That may give the temperature time to change, but if you've never been in these parts, I'm not sure how to explain how fierce the wind is when it kicks up, which is frequently in the fall-winter-spring timeframe.  There are windsocks along the highway, so you can know that your tires aren't blowing out when you are struggling to keep your vehicle in your lane.  And watch out for semi trucks lying on their side in the middle of the interstate.  There is even construction beginning on 300 new windmills in the area.  Finally, there is stuff stuck to the endless fences that line every piece of property around here.  Usually, that stuff is a combination of tumbleweeds and garbage, but if you look across from the general store, you'll see plastic bags.
