I know I was complaining about the winter weather in my last post, but when you don't need to go out in it to get groceries, when you can just enjoy it, well, it can be amazing. One year my husband and I visited Yellowstone National Park the first weekend the roads were opened, in late April. It was steadily snowing all day, but it made for beautifully harsh landscapes. This is my favorite image from the day. The contrast of the azure blue of the hot springs pool with the blowing snow and grey skies stunned me when I saw it in person and it still does every time I look at this image.
I just listed this as a print in my shop.
