I took this long exposure several years ago in Pittsburgh's Shadyside neighborhood, out of a car window if I can remember correctly. I love how all the neon lights convey the energy of the neighborhood's night life.
Spring has sprung here in Pittsburgh. It actually began a little sooner than normal this year, but I am totally fine with that! My brunnera, in the top photo, may be my new favorite spring flower. They are very dainty, but now that I have a few of them together in my garden, they are more visible. My daffodils are also very small in stature (does that make them jonquils?) but as soon as they began to push through the snow-crusted earth my heart began to beat a little faster. And the violets, that spring with joy from my lawn, have been one of my favorites since I was a little girl. I just can't choose a favorite. They all bloom at the same time and usher in my favorite season.
I try to find beauty in the everyday, primarily through my photography, which I share here. I also try to keep my brain thinking creatively every day, even if the rest of me is not in the mood, so the posts here are as much for me as they are for you.
